The Overkill Festival

The new edition of The Overkill Dream No Return is taking you into a strange dream where time can stop, sounds emerge from the walls and the inhabitants of the funfair escaped in the land of Away...

You wander every morning where did your dream go, why you can't bring them back in front of your eyes, why do they abandon you the minute you wake up, the minute you grow up...

Dream No Return comes from the worry we would never have time to dream again, the exhaustion of fighting for better worlds that take so much time to come and the lonely feeling inside our never ending scrolling modes...
Following a made up dream methodology the curators of The Overkill are looking for the day dreaming modes where the creatures of the night wander together with the tired bodies and the snakes in shading... The program of Dream No Return is emerging from random connections, sensible memories or sudden excitements, taking shape through many encounters and time spend walking, talking, doubting and playing together...

Thursday while at the festival or while traveling towards it, you will be able to join playful sessions to figure out what are the dreams and memories you want to bring to the festival. In the evening, The Overkill will officially open with a sharing ritual to open the doors of our collective adventure.

This year The Overkill is curated with the wonderful Matilde Patuelli, the amazing Zuraida Buter and the great Sirin Bahar Demirel. Since 2025 already we are working together navigating our dreams and our playgrounds to find the right way to deal with the question of rest, escape, togetherness, slowness...
The program of the festival is also build on the reflection, playful sessions, exhibitions and talks we had with Jana Romanova and her dreamwalks, Sondi and the exhibition A Different End to A Different Play, Friendly Secrecy System with Janne Schimmel and Belly of the Beast with Josefin Arnell.

The festival is taking place from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 November. You can get a festival pass or a day pass. We are doing our best to keep the price as accessible as possible. Until 30th September you can get a early bird festival pass and save some money :) The more people choose this pass, the more happy we get, knowing that we will be together in this dream!
