Over de tentoonstelling (EN)

Woensdag 8 april opent de Carte Blanche tentoonstelling RE:-)CONNECT door Ray Wijn, Leo Bos, Danielle van den Bos, Tessa de Roo, Moos van der Zwan en Vincenzo Botto.

In times of social media it might feel we are connected to the entire world and connections are made easy, but is this true?
To truly connect with various people other means and other ways might be way better.
To connect is a wish deeply implemented in the human brain and our physiology.
To reconnect means the connection got (somehow) lost or completely disconnected.

Art can be a way to re-establish this connection and create new connections. Whether it be through collective making, creating connections with other art works or objects of interest or literally tying different artworks together and hence forth creating a different context of the works, changing the meaning and focusing on communication in between multiple works.

The collective making is visible in the large silk screen print on fabric where all students collaborated to finally come to one end result.
All other questions concerning connecting and relating stem from all other individual works happily reconnecting with one and other and the viewer.
