MeetUs 17 November

Komende vrijdag is er weer een MeetUs van KunstNonStop in samenwerking met Concordia. De spreker van de avond is Desire De Lacy. Zij zal komen vertellen over haar kunstpraktijk en na haar presentatie zal Desire De Lacy in samenwerking met Yari Rabadan nog een korte interactieve workshop geven. Het belooft een leuke avond te worden!

About the artist

Desire De Lacy is a multi-disciplinary South African artist who is based in Enschede. Her main curiosity is within the finding of nuanced stories of individual or collective groups of people and how they navigate difficult, often traumatic memories.

The artist’s talk will be about the Knotted entity and theoretical approaches related to it, such as memory, trauma, and the social dialogical exchange within participatory art. The knotted entity is an externalization of mixed emotions relating to the narration of events. These narratives are habitually nuanced and vary between narrations of violence, trauma, memories and the opinions there of.
