The truth has already been personalised for you. Who gets to manufacture your mind?
From 17-20 September, GOGBOT takes over Enschede city center, placeing the white cube (literally) at the heart of the matter and bringing together boundary-pushing artists, technologists, researchers, and audiences to explore how perception is constructed and contested.

Through immersive installations, reclaimed technologies, bold digital art, and participatory experiences, these artists offer critical reflections of the mechanisms producing belief, consensus, obedience, and desire.

Geen enkel beeld is neutraal. Alles is ontworpen om je te beïnvloeden, of je dat nu wilt of niet, en of je je er nu van bewust bent of niet.
De vervalsing van de werkelijkheid, ooit het exclusieve domein van totalitaire regimes, heeft nu ook de westerse democratieën overspoeld.

Algoritmes voeden onze echokamers, politieke partijen gebruiken onze angsten als wapen en merken verkopen ons identiteiten als geloofssystemen. Miljardairs worden influencers en influencers worden nieuwsmedia. De waarheid is al voor jou gepersonaliseerd. Wie mag jouw geest manipuleren?

Van 17 tot en met 20 september neemt GOGBOT het centrum van Enschede over en plaatst de witte kubus (letterlijk) in het hart van de zaak. Het brengt grensverleggende kunstenaars, technologen, onderzoekers en publiek samen om te onderzoeken hoe perceptie wordt geconstrueerd en betwist.

Via meeslepende installaties, hergebruikte technologieën, gedurfde digitale kunst en participatieve ervaringen bieden deze kunstenaars kritische reflecties op de mechanismen die geloof, consensus, gehoorzaamheid en verlangen voortbrengen.
