COWMAG Publication Launch

About the event

On the 14th of May COWMAG is presenting their newest magazine with an official launch event. 
Under the theme of COWMAG’s third issue, Dissonance, they explore the misalignments in work processes, sound, identity, culture, experience and the awkward space between recognition and the unfamiliar. 

To celebrate the launch the team has organised a full program including music, drinks and panel talks hosted by Bart Brinkman. The contributors featured in this issue will join and discuss their work in 2 panel talks, supported by sonic interludes by Jacco Borggreve.

About COWMAG

COWMAG is a collective and publication platform that emerged from a shared need for collaboration and collective research among artists. Based at BlackBrick (Enschede), COWMAG creates space for critical reflection, exchange, and collective knowledge production among (emerging) makers.
Working as a team of five, COWMAG brings together artists at different stages of their practice, facilitating collaboration and reflection on both work and process. Central to this approach is supporting artists in articulating their practice in dialogue with others. 

This process takes shape in an annual publication, where these exchanges and developments come together.

About Comma Sessions

The Comma Sessions extend this approach into a public program. Over the past year, COWMAG has developed a series of events at BlackBrick, taking on different formats such as workshops, screenings, and panel discussions. Within these sessions, space is created for artistic research, exchange, and reflection bringing artists and audiences together to engage with work and process.
